Orthopaedic consultant — joint arthroplasty and sports medicine

Your bones and joints carry you and move you every day. When knee pain stops you, a fracture catches you off guard, an injury takes you off the pitch, or your child's walk worries you, you need a clear diagnosis and a plan you understand. That is where every visit starts.

01

Precise diagnosis first

A clinical exam and the right imaging before any decision, to find the cause of the pain, not just where it is.

02

As little surgery as possible

Conservative care when it is enough, arthroscopy through small incisions when it fits, open surgery when it is truly the best option.

03

Until you move again

Surgery is not the finish line: rehabilitation and follow-up continue until you walk, work and play again.

Specialties

Five specialties,one goal: your movement

Joint arthroplasty & arthroscopy

When cartilage wears out and pain becomes part of your day, we give the joint its movement back: arthroscopy through small incisions for cartilage and ligaments, or a joint arthroplasty when arthritis is advanced.

  • Knee arthroplasty
  • Hip arthroplasty
  • Shoulder arthroplasty
  • Knee & shoulder arthroscopy
  • Osteoarthritis care

Fractures & dislocations

Simple and complex fractures and dislocations, treated the way each case needs, from a cast to surgical fixation with plates and nails, with follow-up until the bone heals and the limb works again.

  • Limb fractures
  • Reducing dislocations
  • Plate & nail fixation
  • Fractures in older adults

Sports injuries

ACL tears, meniscus injuries, a shoulder that keeps dislocating… We pin down the injury, usually treat it arthroscopically, and build a rehab plan that gets you back on the pitch.

  • ACL
  • Meniscus
  • Recurrent shoulder dislocation
  • Ankle & tendon injuries

Bone tumors

Benign and malignant bone lumps and tumors assessed with imaging and biopsy, and a surgical plan that saves the limb and its function wherever possible, together with the specialist medical team.

  • Assessing bone lumps
  • Bone biopsy
  • Tumor removal
  • Limb-sparing surgery

Children's bone deformities

We follow how your child's bones grow and correct congenital and acquired deformities early, such as developmental hip dysplasia, clubfoot and bowed legs, with methods suited to their age.

  • Hip dysplasia (DDH)
  • Clubfoot
  • Bowed legs
  • Children's fractures

Quick guide

Where doesit hurt?

Pick an area to see its most common causes and how we treat them, then send it to the doctor in a ready-made message.

Shoulder X-ray
Wrist and hand X-ray
X-ray of the pelvis and both hips
X-ray of a lower leg after a fracture fixed with an intramedullary nail
X-ray of both feet and ankles

Shoulder

  • Pain when lifting the arm or lying on it
  • Stiffness and limited movement
  • A dislocation, or a shoulder that feels unstable

Common causes: rotator cuff tears, frozen shoulder, recurrent dislocation, fractures of the upper arm and collarbone.

Sports injuries & shoulder arthroscopy

Hand & wrist

  • Pain and swelling after a fall on the hand
  • A deformed wrist or one that is hard to move
  • A weak grip

Common causes: wrist and forearm fractures, finger dislocations, tendon inflammation.

Fractures & dislocations

Hip & pelvis

  • Pain in the upper thigh or groin
  • A limp, or trouble walking far
  • Difficulty putting on shoes or sitting

Common causes: hip arthritis, hip fractures in older adults, and developmental hip dysplasia in children.

Joint arthroplasty & arthroscopy

Knee & leg

  • Pain on stairs or when standing up
  • Clicking or a knee that locks
  • A knee that "gives way" when you move

Common causes: knee arthritis, meniscus tears, ACL rupture, lower-leg fractures.

Joint arthroplasty & arthroscopy

Foot & ankle

  • An ankle that keeps rolling
  • Pain and swelling after an injury
  • A foot that looks misshapen in a child

Common causes: torn ankle ligaments, ankle and foot fractures, and clubfoot in children.

01

Exam & listening

We hear your whole story — when the pain started and what makes it worse — then examine the joint or limb carefully.

02

Imaging & a plan

Only the X-rays or MRI you actually need, and a clear explanation of the options — conservative, arthroscopic, surgical — and how long each takes.

Treatment or surgery

We choose the least invasive option that does the job. If surgery is needed, it is done in a well-equipped hospital with modern techniques.

Rehab & follow-up

Back to your life

Walking without pain, back to work, or back on the pitch. That is the goal we plan for from day one.

FAQ

Beforeyou ask

Didn't find your answer? Send your question on WhatsApp and the doctor will reply.

Ask on WhatsApp
01When do I need a joint arthroplasty?

When arthritis is advanced and the pain keeps limiting your walking or sleep despite medication and physiotherapy. The decision comes after the exam and imaging — not every painful knee or hip needs a replacement.

02Arthroscopy or open surgery — what's the difference?

Arthroscopy works through small incisions with a fine camera, so there is usually less pain afterwards and a faster recovery. It doesn't suit every case; we choose what fits yours after the diagnosis.

03When can I return to sport after an injury?

It depends on the injury: a few weeks for some sprains, several months after an ACL reconstruction. A safe return depends on regular rehab and on passing strength and stability tests.

04Does every fracture need an operation?

No. Many fractures heal in a cast with follow-up. We fix a fracture surgically when it is displaced, unstable or runs into a joint, so it heals straight and works fully.

05When should I worry about my child's walk or legs?

If you notice a limp, legs of different lengths, bowing that gets worse with age, or a foot that has been twisted since birth. Catching it early makes treatment simpler and more successful.
